Karen Penland is the Color Coordinator for Buschman Homes since joining the company in 1999. As the Color Coordinator, Karen guides customers through the process of selecting interior and exterior finishes for their new home. She is responsible for submitting requests for custom changes, keeping in contact with all those who have homes under construction, helping to resolve any concerns that may arise and for getting all the necessary information to the corporate office in a timely manner. Some of her time is spent assisting with sales. She shares her extensive knowledge of the homes and many options available.
In 1994, her interest in new home sales and construction, enticed her to leave Early Childhood Education and embark on a new career. She has held positions with several builders, large and small. Karen has experience with the finish selections for single family and town homes. Karen has been with Buschman Homes since 1999 and finds semi-custom construction challenging and rewarding.
With a BA degree in Elementary Education from Concordia University River Forest, Illinois, she was an Early Childhood Educator for over twenty years. Karen has also attended many seminars and conferences related to the home building industry.
